It is useless without upgrade, because in the free version you cannot see the map. When tried to upgrade, the message in-app purchases turned off was bugged: I could not cancel the pop-up, and it kept coming up until I restarted the phone the hard way. There are better apps, and some free too.

My purchase was a complete waste of money, at least for me. I found the content to be abbreviated and unhelpful. The interface is not easy to use. And worst of all you cannot zoom the "high definition" map large enough to make street names and places legible.

We just moved to Rome for 7 months and are traveling throughout Italy. This app works just as advertised. Before we visit a city we pay the $5 for the upgrade for that city. Then over a bottle of wine my wife and I pick the sites we want to visit. Then I put them in the order we want to do them and we get a walking tour. Does this app have every site? No. But you are bound to walk past just about everything with a 3km route or so. Bottom line: we think it is worth the money and we hate paper maps so it is very useful.

I have used this app (and the previous individual city apps) for several years in many (mostly european) cities. the maps are larger (therefore reload time is sometimes slower) than some other apps. these maps include many small streets that i have not seen in other maps. this app has saved me many times when i am completely lost after wandering around. i feel very confident heading out who knows where knowing that this app will show me where i am and help me find the direction i need to turn. this app includes all of the cities i need, and i am happy to have a familiar user interface across maps. also, i have received very prompt and helpful tech support with a question while migrating to the single app version.

Asks for money, registration, then you see ads. Delete.

The message "couldnt connect to the server pops out after every 2MB downloaded. Takes centuries to download something.

Update wiped out all of my saved cities. Was handy guide before that happened. Thanks a lot!

I downloaded this app before my trip to London. I went to the catalog of available maps and the London map was free. Awesome! You can choose between a high definition and medium definition map, however the high definition is only 125MB. It doesnt need wifi or 4G to work, so I got to avoid crazy data charges. Very happy with this software - even if the map cost money in-app, the typical map charges seem to be pretty low.

Worst ever city mapping app! It tricks you for buying upgrades for every turn you take. Everything is another paid option. After a few in app purchases you realize that they will never give you the maps and info you need. Zero stars would be too generous for this app. Used car salesmanship at its best!

This sounds like it would be a very useful app but in reality you never get a walking map - well maybe with further upgrades you might eventually get one. Even with the first upgrade, you only get a list of sights- you can find that in any guide book or web search. Dont fall for this app.

App says I have nothing downloaded, but is still using over 160meg on my iPhone! Waste of space!

Tried downloading San Francisco several times. Each time the download bar showed complete and said it was "preparing file", sat there and spun for awhile and then crashed. Opening it again showed no downloaded file. Same thing happened with New York City. One download that was supposed to have several tours (Athens, I think) ended up being only 0.3Mb and actually downloaded. But the only useable (?) function was create own tour. Eighteen months ago, this was a moderately useful app. Now, it is just a mess.

The app was really good but after the newest update I cant even open the app. Constantly shuts down.

App does not even open in iO7 even after deleting and reinstalling.....also, be careful, I purchased the full version of City Walks - Rome when still using iO6 and you could not upgrade and restore your previous purchases into City Maps and Walks (470+ Cities)......You need to purchase the same app twice. This WAS a nice app!!...

Doesnt work with IO7 yet.

What happened? Please fix. This should get 5 stars...not now. Sorry.

Hardly any info. Why asking to upgrade. Waste of time and space. Deleted the app. Would not recommend
